What a lease should state Parties, premises, term, lock-in, rent and escalation, security deposit and refund terms, maintenance responsibility, permitted use, and the notice period for termination.

Registration Leases above the statutory threshold must be registered. An unregistered lease is weak evidence in a dispute.
